Seriously ask yourselves , why should we ?
Without any thinking people would say for the entertainment. Is that true?
In my school days, I have watched many local movies ,most of them are neither good nor entertaining.And most of these movies aren't art either they are just made for the sake of commercial success they only last for shorter time. They get vanished from our mind/life after few chit chats with our friends. Inspite of being not good I watched them any way and most importantly I don't feel the need to ask myself why should I watch them.
Is that local film makers are so good at convincing people to waste their money and time for their worthless movies ?
Are we dumb enough to accept these worthless movies and make memories with them?
Any external factor that motivates as to watch these ?
I think the answer is YES
Every thing is correlated I guess. The film makers are making these so called commercial movies for decades so that people are trained to appreciate them . Though most of them are temporal and easily forgetable . Finally really need to talk about right. So what's the one thing the people are loved to talk about gossip, especially gossip about the actors .
So the entertainment is really compromised here for a long. Some may argue that they entertained with these movies . I believe they really need to watch the original films before coming to that conclusion.
If the above reasons doesn't make you feel bad about your cinema consumption. Feel free to stick with your stigma.
Or you are confused and starts retrospecting the movies you watched and find unhappy about your cinema consumption
